No damage to the main shaft. But I was not happy with the packaging. you could see where the shaft had broken though the box. shaft not secured very well. I was also expecting a shaft that was hollowed out in the middle. I think the first shaft was this way, I couldn't find my receipt. But this one will work fine. I have not used the product yet.
