Complete bearing, race, seal, gasket and synchronizer ring overhaul kit for early GM NV4500 MT8 5-speed manual transmissions equipped with an external hydraulic clutch slave cylinder. Fits has and diesel models with 2WD and 4WD applications Common casting numbers C-16812 and C-18157.

This kit includes 6 synchronizer rings, along with the bearings races, seals, and gaskets needed for a professional rebuild.

Converted my early GM 2wd NV4500 to dodge 23 spline 4wd and wanted to replace Bearings and synchros while I had it apart since I bought my trans used with unknown history. This kit includes the  shaft bearings, seals/gaskets, synchro rings, and other small parts. It even came with shims you reset bearing tolerances(wish I seen that before also buying shim kit).
The only complaint I have is that I wish they would sell a master rebuild kit that includes the bearings for the gears instead of buying separately.

Was changing the output shaft to fit NP231. Thought I might as well change bearings.
