Durable, galvanized steel retainer (approximately 1.125–1.200 inches tall, with a stepped cylindrical design and flanged lip) presses onto the driveshaft stub after the center bearing installation. Commonly fits 2003+ Dodge Ram 2500/3500 (and select other heavy-duty models) with rear two-piece driveshafts featuring a carrier bearing and slip yoke boot. Often paired with center bearings like 40053306, 40048725, or 40048726.
